A Year in Review

Writer: Stacey ToneyStacey Toney

Personal growth is always a plus, and that’s especially true when it coinicides with spiritual growth. I feel like my faith in God has tripled since this time one year ago. I have seen the fingerprints He has left on my life this year without even looking for them. I also see

the battles I have faced become much more personal. Satan certainly attacks when you progress in your commitment to the Almighty Creator.

Until this year, I can count on my hand the amount of times that I hit the floor in pure anguish hoping and praying that God relieve me or my children of the struggles life throws at us. This year, my knees are bruised and bloodied. I don’t know where I would be if not for His mercy and His comfort.

As I close out 2021, I look to the future with hope. I don’t care where I sit on Sunday (although it’s almost always in the 4th pew from the back), knowing that I depend on Christ Jesus to get me to where I want so badly to go leaves me with a determination that will see me through. Business is business they say, but I have been so blessed in creating the foundation of my business AND my home on His name. Let’s see what 2022 has in store. No matter what it is, we will walk through it together.

Ephesians 5:

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
